My Juju Bracelets

As we slowly began to cautiously emerge from quarantine, I felt as though I needed simple reminders to ground myself as we continued to navigate this global crisis. I felt the need to hold my loved ones/missions close to find my calm amidst the chaos and uncertainty of each day. 

Inspired by Instagram and affectionately labeled "my juju bracelets" (juju=a spiritual belief system incorporating objects), I found an Etsy seller that created perfectly priced, whimsical, colorful, and custom bead bracelets. 

I've worn them every day since June 11th. The bracelets remind me to push on, and they remind me of the people and the organizations I am committed to fighting for each and every day. 

Elementary in concept? Yes.

Powerful in practice? Absolutely.
